They're missing. Moderators, please explain.

I've been feeling nostalgic the last couple days. I've been trying to find a couple of my old posts in the "Love and Romance" section but they aren't there. It's like they were completely erased. They didn't have anything vulgar or highly disrespectful in them (anyone who knows me knows that I try to be respectful of everyone and I dislike vulgarity). I don't see why they would have been deleted. I've had a friend look for them, and she didn't find them, either. So I know that it isn't just me. I would like to know where they might have gone, and why they had gone there. The post names were "Nice Guys Finish Last" and "7 Things All Men Should Know About Women". So if anybody has any ideas as to where they are, please let me know. And if any of the moderators know about them, please tell me.

    Thanks for your time.

There is new system in place to ensure that old posts are deleted to save on website space.

    Kevin:

Really? I didn't know that. But why were mine deleted and not some of the others? Mine weren't overly large. And there are some that are larger that were kept on. I know I sound as if I'm complaining, and maybe I am, but I was looking forward to seeing my old posts and reading them again.

You're opinions are always welcome, Bob. I know that I must sound as if I'm trying to justify why they shouldn't have been deleted, but I'm just trying to figure out why they were. Thank you again for your responses.

how old is old, Timothy? Some of the forums were really full (love was one of them) So I just went in and starting from the back (meaning they hadn't been posted on since sometime in 2003!) and just deleted a few pages worth. I did search around and get rid of some of the longer ones (but still only deleted ones that hadn't been posted on for a year or more) Sorry, but I didn't even look at titles or member names, so i can't tell you for sure if yours were in the bunch.

But this is a good lesson to eveyone: if you think you are going to want to re-read an old post, copy and save it.

The last post on each of them would have only been a few months ago. One of them had around 120 posts in it. But don't worry about it, what's done is done.
