i'm pretty into mythology. i don't really believe it, but it's interesting to read about all the different gods and goddesses. and my favorite myth is one about how one of the constilations got into the sky. It went something like this girl didn't want to leave her lover's side so she put him in the stars so she could see him every night. it was really sweet. |

It's spelt Quetzalquatl for reference, and he was very amazing. The Aztecs were very awesome. Is the story you are refering to the one about Pygmalion and Galatea? It is the first one that comes to mind when you mention someone falling in love with a statue. In Norse mythology I would say that Fenrir is the best. My favourite mythological character, however, is a demon named Mephistopheles. He is not very popular, but he is very awesome. (Often used for an alternative name for Satan, but is also refered to as a seperate entity) Also, who could forget the Leviathan, the minotaur, and all the other awesome demons, including Abbadon, Abraxas, and of course, the well known Pazuzu. So awesome. Sorry for ranting. |

does anyone realize how many versions there are to all of these myths? like the Kraken, for example. there are about 7 different versions of it; a serpent version, a squid version, an octopus version, a sea-dragon version, a giant humanoid/fish thingy version, etc. Even the Cerburus and Harpys and Sirens have different versions. there is more then one Hydra too. |

Dungeons and Dragons, the original dice game, not the computer games, which also rock. It's a magnificant game, and my brother knows how to play, so sometime he'll teach me after I bye a rulebook, (first I have to find one, though O_o) |

It's based on a lot of old myths such as Hydra and the Kraken, and also goes into Elves, Dworves, Halflings, Gnomes, Dragons, etc. Ever seen/read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings? That's D&D based! Isn't that cool?? |

I'm more into the beasts of mythology...your cerberus and hydra, gryphon and sphynx, minotaur, centaur, pegasus, unicorn, chimera etc...All beautiful creatures indeed (Of course some of them are really only beautiful in their own way...a face that maybe not even a mother could love). |
