Well, I've realized that if I am content and happy with the way things are, I have trouble writing. I think sometimes inspiration comes from being either very bored or very angry/upset/sad. For example, Albert Einstien came up with some of his greatest works while being incredibly bored working as a patent clerk. I'm not sure if it would be a good thing to force yourself to write, or to attempt at falsely creating a mood in which you could write. I think i just realized this comment wouldn't help you very much... But eh, nice try I suppose. |

HOLY!! i HATE writters block!! i went on a non writting streak and it was hrorable! i hate it! i was asking myself "are you not writting anymore because you lost the passion?!? are u not a good enough writter because u have nothing else to say?!?" but the answer is, writting takes time..taking a break can be good. poetry should never be rushed. if sumthing comes to mind, then write about it, if not-give ur mind sum time to breath..but if u really need sum inspirattion, i think watching a really good movie such as Anton Fisher, its very inspirational and gives u the modivation to write..also songs with morals such as hold on by good charlotte, and christina aguilera, soar.. things like that:) ..dont sweat it if you have nothing to write because soon enough your mind will be over flowing with ideas!! |

oh, I get writers block a lot and it only breaks when something really emotional happens...or when I sit back and create mental images of, lets say a forest or the ocean. I was thinking of being at the beach when I wrote my siren poem. And if I can't think of anything. I just start rhyming words together and usually something comes to me then. |
