I have come to the conclusion (by personal experience) that cutters and/or depressed people are beyond a friends help. I think it's a professional's duty to help cutters. No matter how much encouragement and friendship I gave it didn't change anything. A cutter has a train of thought that I don't think just anyone can break...I think it takes a trained professional. What do you think? |

Personally, I believe that not even trained professionals can solve the problem. They seem to cause more trouble than anything else, but that, of course, is my opinion. I believe the only way for one to stop the cutting, and get out of the depression, is for that one to help themselves. I always find that you are the only one who can really help yourself. Sure, others can help, put in their suggestions, etc. but only you can make the final decisions. This is just my opinion after all. |

Hun, ofcourse cutters require proper help for professionals, thats what they're for!! But friends are VERY important. Take it from me, I used to cut when I had depression, but NONE of my friends talked me out of it. Or bothered to listen. Because if they were there, I would have stopped. Cutting is a very complicated issues thats very hard to understand. |
