I dont think there is a wrong or right way to write. I think that watever comes out comes out. Thats why when i write sometimes i rhyme sometimes i dont. Sometimes i tell a story, sometimes its more like a conversation. It all depends on your flow and the way you want to deliver the poem.

yes well i see your point also...I mean, sometimes writers do set out to write about one specific thing. I know that i do sometimes. Its good to change up your pattern and be versatile..But i still stick beside my first comment because it all depends on you mood at the time

Yer i kind of agree with you but i dont at the same time. I agree with how you say that there is no wrong or right way to write poetry but i think that poetry usually sounds best if it rhymes. Thats what i think but i have found a few people who dont like to rhyme.. When most people hear the word poetry they usually think of a story that rhymes..

i think poetry should be based on the heart some one puts into it. there is no such thing as a bad poem and that is why i always give the person a 5.0 i try to connect to what the persons emotions are and see it from there point of view

yeah i mean, i honestly a poem doesnt have to rhyme for me to like it. If the poem doesnt rhyme and the words are meaningful i think that is just as good.

I agree with you Mercedes. Literature is a free medium, use it to convey whatever it is you want to communicate. If rhyming helps, then use it. If certain words turn out to be more effective, then use them.
