A read for a read.

Is it just me, or do other people find it annoying/immature/disgusting that most every person on here will not read a poem from the "Requests to read/comment poems" forum unless the person posting the poem makes a deal that he/she will read the same number or better of the other person's poems? I just find it infantile that most people won't bother to read a poem, whether it be a good one or not, because they won't get anything in return. The reason you should read someone else's poetry is because you want to read it and because they asked you to, not because you are expecting to get equal or better payment in return.

I just thought I'd bring that to everyone's attention.

I think its good to read other ppls work and try to learn from it. But yes, it is annoying that ppl say read mines and I'll read yours. That gets on my nerves.
