Elizabeth you're not alone on this cutting issue because there are plently of cutters thread (as Angie had stated before) on this site. What ticks me off is the fact that you're asking an obvious question that can be answer by merely reading the other previous threads.

I view cutting as an idiotic way of solving a problem through loss of blood.

If you don't want to get your feelings hurt, then you shouldn't have put yourself in such a place where the public can have free access. Some likes the act of sycophancy others don't. You just have to get use to it, because the world/this site won't change just for you/anyone who gets their feelings hurt. The world does move on, whether you like it or not.

Anyways, my opinion is this: It is fine to post that you need help, and people should try and help if you if they want, and if they dont they can voice their opinion in a kind respectful manner. I think cutting is bad, it is not necessary, but sometimes it may seem that way. I do think that SOME people do it for attention, but not all. I see posts that say something like: "I CUT! I AM A LOST LONELY TEEN! I HATE MY LIFE! HOW CAN I GO ON? I JUST WANT TO DIE! I NEED SERIOUS ADVICE!" and all I can think is "you're right you do need help. help realising that there are better ways to get attention than harming yourself"
