The main thing you have to do is take time for yourself. Whether it's just sitting at home relaxing, going to a concert, or hanging with friends. It's so hard when you get older because it's so easy to lose touch with friends. It's very important to do what it takes to keep in touch with friends and family! Which isn't always an easy thing to do.
For example, I live in a very small town of approximately 2,000 people. I graduated with like 32 people and at least half of them still live here. I only see one person on a regular basis. That's mainly because she lives in the same apartment complex as me. See what I mean?

I got a second job a few months ago to save money for my own place. I was working 9-5 and then going to my second job at 10 and staying until 6 the next morning and doing it all over again. When I had a night off I was sleeping. I didn't hang out with my friends nor did I spend any time with my family. If I wasn't working I was sleeping. To me that's no way to live. I considered going back to college but I think now I'm just taking a break. I was so set on getting out on my own and having my own house but I have enough going on right as it is. My mother begs me to stay here with her so I have no reason to rush. I think you just really have to think about what YOU want. Don't over work yourself because soon you lose sight of what you're really trying to achieve. I was trying to juggle two jobs and get back into school. It was too much, it wore me out. I'll be 21 next month...I feel like I have plenty of time (God willing) to achieve my goals. I'm working hard still (at ONE job) and doing what I can to better myself. Think about YOU, have some fun and don't over do it. I will agree with the girl above me...follow through with your dreams and be what you want to be but don't wear yourself out.

as far as dreams i am debating(sp) which one to take hold of. i used to work two jobs and have my own place. i fell under water and drown... i dont want that to happen again.
yes i am out of my comfort zone, but what i am asking is how do ya deal with the fact that time has control of your life and u have no choice but to keep going and be unhappy.
my friends always say hey come hang out! but i dont have the time or energy... i need more energy...
when i was five i never stopped and now i wish i could have a free moment just to look back and say wow look what i did!!
wait.. i just had that moment!!
thanks guys, im glad that i am not the only one going through the transition!

The answer we gave you was to put time aside for youself. RELAX....that's how you deal with it. Don't put too much on your plate at once.

my mom says finish college first. then worry.

im realy young,i dont kno much, but my 35 yr old cousin says that she had to go to london to get enough money to support her kids....

and then also another tip is,as they said above, follow your dreams. but dont live in a fantasy world. like that all popular poet said,"do not let it take your wings"-Derek C. Jones wrote it.

never change yourself. thats all you can do.and remember how expensive everything is these days. keep on budgets, maybe if u get a gr8 friend they'll loan ya cash in hard times. good luck :)

jw, how'd you manage to buy/rent a house by yourself, and why are you just now getting your license?

I guess all I could say is go with it. See how people around you have handled it, get used to it and with it grow stronger

    but then again i'm 16...
