Memory Boxs

I don't know if anyone else does this or not, but I just recently made two memory boxes for the two guys I've gone between this past year! I love them both but I'm not with either of them so I made boxes and placed things such as poems I wrote or got for them, letters about them, and pictures into these boxes! It really helped me to get over them both and I now know that even though we may get back together in the future I can survive without them! My question is does anyone else do this? And if so what are your experiences with this! Thanks if you can respond!

I have a thing for shoes, so I put all my old guy stuff in shoe boxes. and keep them. Yeah, everything form stuffed animals to notes, to dried flowers. the jewlery goes back to the guy though. no point in keeping it. Jake, my boy friend knows I have all the stuff, He laughed going though it, and said its ok as long as I dont ever put him in a box for "safe keeping".

Well at least I know that I'm not alone in this creation! LOL! I'm glad you have found guys that make you forget the other memory boxes and I hope that one day very soon I can do the same! Thankx!

I had one. It was a shoe box as well. But I decorated it with magazine clippings. Phrases and pictures that made me think of my boyfriend.
Funny enough, I had it for years. Me and the guy ended up getting married. Even after we split up I kept the box. It had our marriage license and note's and silly gifts he gave me. I kept every flower he had ever given me and movie/concert tickets. But a few months after we split up, he broke into my house and stole it. Either that or the girl he left me for did. Either way, I'm better off without it!

I have about 3 memory boxes.

One of them is from my elementary years, one's a junior high box and the last one is for 2003 (when I fell in love for the first time!)

I keep everything that reminds me of him in there. Tickets, gifts, letters, diaries, mix tapes... I also put in a few of the stuff from when we were about to break up, to remind myself of the lessons I've learned from loving him.

yea i do it..i got 2 memory boxes...

one is filled with things that remind me of my "fat days" n i hate to be reminded about that,,,,so i locked it up in a box....

the other has stuff that reminded me of my ex-boy friend that i still love oh'so much..and the box helps me from running into things that makeme cry or just make me feel sad...
