You CANNOT help people with their problems!!!! You don't know how they feel, don't know whats going through their head, you can't help someone. Ok so you've cut before but that doesn't mean you can stop somebody else. GRRRRRRRRR. We've had about 20 of these!!!!!!

Urgh you can't help people! Most people don't have the same life outlook as you, how can you stop a 13 year old stop cutting themselves because their dad rapes them. What do you say to that? Or a 16 year old being bullied at school who ants to commit suicide. Or a 23 year old with terrible life problems and has resulted to self harm? Tell me how you would help in all situations?

Oh believe me, arguments solve everything. If i was offered a 17 year old counsellor or a 37 year old counsellor I would much rather have a 37 year old - EXPERIENCE springs to mind

No I used to have those feelings, and was going to go to a doctor. You don't know how I feel, but im not stupid enough to publicly whinge about it on a website, I went and got help. I DID NOT want help from a 17 year old, and neither was I offered it, I was offered an adults help, someone that was experienced and can help me.
Yeah it's my opinion and most others on this site. Enough now, you think you can bhelp people - fine. I think you're wrong. That's it. I'm out.

Why are people dissing her for being 18 and young, counsellors have to start somewhere.....and in order to gain experience they have to see lots of different people - they dont just gain experience as they get older, its to do with how hard they work and diff experiences.
Besides ive met younger people in the mental health field that are a hell of lot wiser than some 50yr old lazy-ass psychiatrists.

I dont think she should offer proper counselling over the internet though, as rachel said, you can't properly assess the person and situation.

well come on its not all about helping its just knowing that their are people out there who seem to care and are willing to help others
