Basically, as everyone has said, you need not rhyme your poems. I do not want to seem offensive, but perhaps your teacher said your poem was bad because you cannot even write properly. U wryt lyk dis & dat isnt any gud, so u prob shud consider rewrytin in gud english...

in my own personal opinion, i don't like rhyming my poems, because to me it restricts some of my thoughts and i have to come up with new wors or ideas t change the poem to make it rhyme.
it's different for everyone, but there's no wrong or right way to write poetry.
just go with what you feel comfortable

YOu don't always have to write in rhym...I don't sometimes and sometimes I do. For me Rhym is just there to help me through my poems if I'm looking for a certain type of flow.

I agree with ï»»JustAriï»», your teacher doesn't know what they are talking about, of course all poems do not have to rhyme. A poem is a way of expressing yourself with no rules or boundries... your teacher should look into that again cause they are wrong. maybe it was just the type of poem...

Poems dont need to rhyme, and in my opinon poems which rhyme are usually not as good as free-verse, only because most rhymes are forced! There are some lovely rhyming poetry, but I think in most cases rhyming takes away from the otherwise beauutiful poem~
