What kind of poet are you???

What is your style when writing poetry? What style, subject matter to you gravitate to? Does your poetry have a signature style or do you just write in whatever, any and all styles just for the sake of writing.

Me personally, I am a romantic poet. Romance is my style of choice and what I write and express most effectively. I write poems on and of Beauty & Love, but romance isn’t all I write. I also write erotic and humorous (satirical) pieces. My objective when writing is to write charming, stylish, and seemly, swoon worthy romantic pieces/poems and sensual, stimulating, seductive, erotic ones. I want my romantic poems to resound of amorous feelings, flowery language, elevated-emotion, exquisite eloquence, extolling adjectives and artful elegance and my erotic pieces to arouse, awaken, the sensual soul and bring about arousal - in its intended audience. My goal is for my satirical pieces to be funny, humorous, and actually ring of satire and for all my pieces, in general, to leave there marked and intended impression, Usually though, all of my poems - unless intentionally done otherwise - are written in the romantic style, with a certain romantic flair!!!

Well, I usually "gravitate" towards dark, kind of depressive styles.
I've tried writing a bit more modern, or slightly more old-fashioned, but I usually just use plainer words, but I try to make the smaller words beautiful.
Sometimes I just haul off emotion into my poetry, and sometimes there is also good emotion, like peace, and happiness...but mostly anger, depression, sadness and pain.
Well, I'm not as talented with words as you, and have a rather short vocabulary, so here it is...
    My style of poetry.

I can write more to the dark, the depressive but sometimes i can write to the happy and fun. It really depends how i'm feeling... I write like words that are in my head, i'm not good at poetry but at least i can do it.

I tend to only be able to write about personal issues in my life. I find it hard to describe situations that I haven't been in well. I enjoy writing poems that mean so much to me, but are not understood by others. These make them feel more like mine.

I try to write on as many different subjects as possible and try not to limit myself. I will also practice to use different forms from time to time as this will also help to sharpen my skills. Inspiration will play a big part in what I decide to write.

I like dark and sad poetry that tends to be the only thing that I am able to write about.. but I also try to write at least on one each of the different topics to help my stay out a writing box cause I dont want to be stuck with that I have to write about or my style

For some reason my poems almost always invole Love, desire, and the emotions I get from women that I get attracted to. Sometimes though I write about some really dark emotions from deep inside of my self. I like to experiment with structure. I change my structure from time to time just to keep things interesting and to express were my emotional state is at the time.

I am a romantic poet also. I write about the truth and love. Sometimes love lost and sad poems.
I like to leave the reader with hightened emotions. To have them pondering after they have read my peoms.

99% of my poems are just what is crossing my heart at that moment. I write my feelings down on paper as it hits me. Ussually it's something about, or for one of my friends. If it's for them, usualy it's cause I have been thinking about them allot those days, because of something that happend to them, or something that reminded me of them. If it's about them, it's something that just hit's me out of the blue, or something I wrote because I wanted to write that person something nice.

my relationship problems, falling in love, being depressed, death and stuff that appeals to me

well, I'd have to say my type, if I have a type at all, it would be Romantic and Beat, as those are my major influences. what I strive for. and Mary Shelley being the one female author I identify with completely. dark, personal, gritty realism, with a fair amount of intelligence as well as humor.

My type of writing is typicall revolving around things such as Society, Death, Depression, Suicide...things with a darker undertone! I can write Love poems and more of a happier undertoned poem, but I gravitate more to the dark stuff! I write about what I know, what Ive learned, and things I understand! I typically try to do a lot of research on a subject matter if Im not exactly sure what it is, so I can write about it better!

What is your style when writing poetry?
-Mostly rhymes and sometimes I try different forms

What style, subject matter to you gravitate to?
-Deep areas, emotions, sadness and nature

Does your poetry have a signature style or do you just write in whatever, any and all styles just for the sake of writing.

Depends, I like to be very descriptive and use "flowery words" I also try to stay away from using "I" alot.

My poetry is mixed. It depends on what I feel when I write it. I like to write in a style where I express myself as fully as possible. I helps me cope with everyday problems in life.
