CONFUSION!!

i'm confused y do ppl feel the need to slice their skin to get rid of pain ?? Isn't that conflicting more pain on urself not to mention a horrible habit and scars u'll have to live with for the rest of ur life ?? God forbid u go to far and die .it dosen't make sense . I get rid of my pain by goin to God ppl may think thats weird and stuff but it's not i don't need to cut cuz Jesus already took it for me i wish som of u ppl lived in in west texas we have this great youth center to help ppl .I was just wonderin what posses ppl to do this
