You cannot make someone stop doing drugs. I wish there was a way that we could, but the decidion is theirs. Until an addict is ready to stop they will not. Instead the addict will only hide it from you and lie to you just to make you think have stopped.
You are in no way responsible for the tragic accident that has happened. You did not kill him. Sadly, he killed himself by choosing to live the life that he was living.
