The inside of your soul

In small words,you are beautiful
To me,you are wonderful
To my heart,you scream help
But to my eyes,your soul sings in sweetness

Which one are you?
I ask myself
Happy or sad?
No one can have both...

My Magical Friend

How I wish I could be like the fairies,
Flying freely around the world,
Without people noticing them,
Hiding beneath the old shady tree,
Away from sadness and destruction.

I know...this is short...lol...

1. Love's Flame (Tanka)

Life has memories
That we hold so very dear
Love fulfills our hearts
Feelings that we keep so near
Desire can set us on fire.

2. Fighting This Battle

I'll continue to fight this battle
And all the tears within
I'll try to fight these feelings
Hoping one day they'll end.

You truly won this battle
When you set my heart free
But my raging battle continues
If you could see inside of me.

Inner Thought/ Fake

I'm a sheep in wolfs' clothing,
Full of fear and self-loathing,
A gun with no trigger,
Pretty useless I figure.

In a Dream

Taking in a deep breathe of air,
Relief that I can be in this place for a while,
I breathe out, remembering I had to wake up
This "perfect world" is the only place I smile.

I would like to stay there forever;
Id like forever to stay within me,
A cold shadow of dark ran over this place
Ruining my creation, which now I cant see.

Love Me Right

Hold me tight And don't let go
Ease this pain I can not show
Caress my face So soft and warm
Hide me from My own self harm
Lay me down And love me right
Finish the battle I dare not fight
Win my heart It's yours for free
Now stop pretending And just be with me

Hospital Love

And with her last breath, she whispered to death "don't let him follow me."

And the IV machine sang a sad song, as she did a silent dance.
Her heart beat stood still.
He couldn't bare that last glance.

So his fingers closed her eyelids,
and he gently took her hand from his,
and their lips met breifly for the last time...
He could've -sworn- he felt those butterflies.

A smile that says "I Love You"

I don't want some one perfect
Just some one to make me laugh
I want a person I wont regret
He would say I'm his other half

I would never be lonely
Everyday there's something new
He would still be there to hold me
Everyday his smile says "I Love You"

IT BELONGED TO YOU......

Long and linger without a thought,
We met in the middle of a lip lock.
Speechless and confused, my first kiss belonged to you,
For me I'm in heaven, for you this makes a few.
But this was a moment I will savor,
For every kiss has a unique flavor.
But I remember the one I shared with you,
Everyone is different, now I've had my few.

But I will always remember my first kiss ....
....It belonged to you

Left-Handed Memory

I still recall that single day
Where, in bed, we both lay
The light falls in from the window above
Your bare skin glows from sun and love
Blue eyes stare into my soul
We embrace, and don't let go.

The phone rings, startles me from my memory
Life goes on, forever, without you and me.

And every time,
I look into your eyes,
I get the greatest urge,
To tell you all these lies.
But I know I can not,
For these lies are true,
These lies are me,
These lies are my views.

Look around,
To hollowed screams,
Look around,
To this place of dreams.
Notice around you,
What is around,
Notice around you,
What can be found.

These are spur of the moment poems...I wrote this in five minutes, so I"m aware they're not the best...but bare those facts in mind!

Please run this contest again someday..I'll take my time to write a better poem, just for you Adam dear. :)

Hold My Hand

Could you hold my hand for just a little while?
This rickety breathing is beginning to slow down.
Please hold on tighter to this cold, frail hand
For surely there’s not much time left for me now.

Spinning and shifting from this world to the next,
There’s hardly even a moment to stop and look back.
Yes please hold on a while longer, for I’m a bit scared
As my existence begins to gradually fade to black.

I cry every night
I live in fright
He took my life away
Now I have to live in grief everyday
I was only fourteen
How could you be so mean
It feels as though I can never be free
Father, why did you have to rape me?

FOREVER AND A DAY

I want to love you, give you all that you desire
Iwant to share with you all the happiness you inspire
I want to hold your hand every moment that remains
I want to see your face forever as I awake
I want to hear your voice always call my name
I want to love you forever & a day.

TIME ALONE

I cherish the times we have alone
if we do nothing more than stay at home
maybe watch a movie, eat chinese
no other times are as precious as these
running my fingers through your hair
loving the hours that we share
relaxing together, snuggling close
these are the times I love most.

The Shadow Dragons Dark Secret

As darkness separates the night and day,
the shadow dragon comes out of the clay.
Silently soaring, searching for prey,
it remains in the cover of shadowy play.
The moon is out, he fears its ray,
it must be quick if it is to slay,
for the light will send him away,
back to the clay.

*I consider this my very first poem, so I thought it ironic that it's exactly the right amount of lines*

It's tomorrow...:) I keep checking and rechecking to see if you've posted the results! I guess I'm so excited...You have a good contest here, my friend.

A good thing about a contest is everyone is a winner even if not placed and i know my poems were ok and every else did a wonderful job you really dont need some to tell you your poem is good as long as it came from the heart thanks for reading my poems i call themn inspiration to someone elses soul ,live on ,keep trying ,never give up
