I pick something that I feel strongly about and if I generally don't care, I write about that, in a creative writing format, and out of that, I can usually get jacked about something and spin it.

I've written poems about the fact that I can't think of anything to write about... not all of them have been good, but always a good jumping off point.

We all go through phases, no one can sustain concentration and put out creative writing all the time. We will experience periods when we all just do not have any inspiration or motivation and these can be due to a number of reasons causing the burnout.

These can be due to other problems, worries, work, stress or other issues that just take priority. The best thing to do is to relax and just think about other things, read, listen to music, go for nature walks etc. and in time you will find new motivation and inspiration coming to you to write again.
