Worried... suicide threat from a mate

I have a mate who lives aaagges away that i met through my cousin.,. we havnt met or anything but just through general talking we've become reallllyl close...

Iv'e told him stuff that i havnt even told my boyfriend, family or friends and hes told me stuff too....

Hes been a bit down all week and he hasnt said why.. but tonight he sent me this poem thing and it sounded like a suicide letter or something.. and cos im so far away i dont know what to do... im talking to him and trying to make sure he doesnt do anything stupid... but its so hard!!

god i dont know what to do. if he does anything id feel so guilty cos i talk to him every night and now, tonight the one night he needed me i had to go offline for a bit and now this has happened!

i dont know what to say to him! how to talk to him without i dunno

I'm not sure, but is there someone that you can tell, ask for help that can ACCTUALLY help?

*shrugs* I dont know any of his mates.. and now hes still online but no matter what i say he isnt talking! oh god now hes listning to.. "if i die tommorow-motley crue"

I just hope he isnt serious and hes doing this to scare me or get back at me for not speaking to him.

well all i can say is that let him know that you are worried abou thim and let him know your are always there and the he is never alone no matter how far away you are. and let him know seeing him in pain is hurting you to and tell him that if something were to happen to him you wont know what to do. let him know how you feel and if things dont get better talk to and older person whom you know you can trust but first ask him to tell you and whats goin go on let him know your there 4 a reason. i hope your friend is ok and i hope everything works out hope i was some what of a help.

np anytime i know how you feel i worry about my bestfriend all the time i am glad things are ok and get better best of luck to the both of you

I feel so sorry for you, my boy friend tried to kill himself, and he was supposed to txt me to tell me, luckely enough he realised that I cared and what it would do to me, anywas he has given you a warning and that usally means he wants help before it's too late, btw my bf lives in london so the distance is long, just if you think you can't help because of the distance

i feel for you.

my ex has attempted multiple times, but he rarely said anything vbefore to anyone.

i also have a friend at the moment who i was very worred about last week because he had said that he wanted to die. I think that a person actually saying those words is a kind of cry for help.

hope you are both ok and that they gets over whatever it is that got them so down.
