You should definately tell him. If he thinks your friend is boring there is NO way that their relationship would work out. You have to have fun in a relationship not be bored with the other person. It really does sound like he likes you so I say Go for it!!!

omg tell him!!!!!!!!!!!!! you might be breaking his heart by not telling him!! and you never know.....he could be 'the one' and it defnitely sounds as if he likes you back. All i'm saying is you never know unless you try........and seriously hun i've gone out wif one of my close guy friends and we broke up after a while but we're as close as eva now.
