Boyfriend Problems...

Ok, so my boyfriend and I have been going out for almost three months now, and I really love him. So, anyway, the problem is that I don't know if he really loves me or is subconsciously using me for attention. I mean he tells me that he loves me and I can tell that he really thinks that he loves me, but I don't know. For instance, he gets all depressed when he's not around me. Like REALLY depressed. The other night he called me and told me he was gonna kill himself. And that wasn't the first time. So, he calls me up and told me that he took 8 1000mg sleeping pills. I got all freaked out then, but now that I think about it, I don't know if he really did it. Then he shows up at my house today and he starts to take his sweatshirt of, then puts it back on. Then he moves the sleeve to look at his left wrist. He wouldn't let me see for a while, but after a minute or two, he showed me about ten little horizontal cuts he made on his vein. I don't know if he was doing that just for attention, or what. Help!

He is either a morbid attention seeker or way over the top on the wacko scale. Whether he loves you or not, this kind of behavior definitely indicates that he is an unfit candidate for a healthy relationship.

Maybe hes had a bad past or something..and is insecure about losing you...i mean i used to be really insecure about my boyfriend leaving me, and i used to cry loads when i was away from him, but that wasn't because i was doing it for attention or im wacko. I was scared to love him incase he left me, like so many people in my life have done. Maybe all he needs is some reassurance from you, maybe it may help to find out why he does this. I don't think you should finish instantly, if you love him then you'd wanna support him through what obviously is a difficult time for him.
