What is the meaning?

Whats is the meaning of TRUE love in your own words... My friend has to write a report about love and he needs some stuff like this.. i would be grateful if you helped him out

true love is when you feel complete with the person who you love and you would do anyhting for that person and have respect and so much love for one another well hopefully this helps you and your friend bye

True love is a feeling you get deep inside when you first lay eyes on him and see a future full of love, passion and life.

love is a choice. you choose to give your all to someone, you choose to trust them, to care for them and be there, to make it work with the two of you, to forgive and understand, etc...its a really big choice when it comes to a life partner. i think thats why it hurts so much when relationships fail...you made that choice and invested so much into it and then one of you/both went back on it and either you're scared to do it again or you dive headfirst into the next thing that comes along and try and forget everything that happened.

love is unlike like, which is a feeling. you cannot control who you like, just like you can't control what foods you fancy, or what you're attracted to. feelings come and go easily and you can forget about them. choices are something you consciously made and hopefully thought about all the consequences of.

however...when you love a friend, there it is, just love. when you love someone as well as being attracted to them/liking them, thats where you get all the cute quotes about what love is. although, just like can have those meanings too. like is simply those while love is those and something much more.

as kori said, true love is when you see someone AND all their flaws (if you ignore the flaws its just like lust/like/infatuation) as perfect.
