Ideas of friends change

I've noticed that as we grow up i ideas of friends change.

When you are in infants school a friend is someone who you sit next to in class, eat lunch with, play in the playground with, invite around your house to share toys with.
Then in junior school, it becomes someone you help do homework, share your ideas, go swimming with. And you start having best friends with whom you share everyting.
Then in your teenage years it becomes someone you go to the cinema with, go out shopping with, talk to about personal things, someone to talk about boyfriends/girlfriends with.
Then when you leave school your friend is someone who you talk to more, rely on to be there, someone to go out with often.
Then when you turn eighteen its someone who you get drunk with, part with, hang out with and work with, then as you get older friends just become someone to talk to, someone to meet for a coffee.

    Its wierd how it changes.

I kind of disagree with that. Sure those are some of the components that at every age every friendship has. But I think once you hit maturity a friend IS ALWAYS someone you can talk to, have fun with, and so on. Friendship never ages, only the friends within one do:)

But also as you get older people get more and more bitchy, and mroe and more things go on.

Well, it differs from person to person, but that is the basic way it happens.

    Intersting idea, by the way.
