What animals are you afraid of and why?

I am afraid of squirrels. Furry little bastards... They're smarter than they look... I walked under a tree once, and the little f-ers bombed me with acorns. It hurt! Holy crap... one even caught me in the eye... I ran home crying. But I was like 3, so that was ok...

I am scared of...birds

Spiders....EEEEWWWWWW

...because they're furry, fast, predators and poisonous.

But really, they give a decent hug, what with eight arms.
Pity I never let them get that close before I
A) Run away
B) Crush them with a shoe

--I can't help it, I love animals, but spiders...

squirrels scare me they have beady little eyes and long nails i freeze up everytime one comes within a couple of feet of me.

I friggen hate worms omg they are so disgusting.

I'm terrified of mice and rats. Even just seeing them on T.V. freaks me out.
It all goes back to when I was a kid. We lived next to a field and when they would plow the field, the mice would invade the house. We'd set traps and put out decon, but it didn't prevent them from being in the house completely. Just talking about it is wiggin' me out!

snakes.. im soooooo scared of snakes.. id die onthe spot if i saw one.. and spiders.. not all but most, especially huntsmans,wolf spiders and red backs and white tails *cold shivers*

I'm forkin terrorized by shrimp, okay?!?!? I can take a dead snake, a full-grown spider, but nuh-uh... shrimp scare the fudge outta me!!!

All started when I touched the bottom of the sea, scooped a handful of sand, and when I reached air I opened my hand to see a dead black shrimp!

Hmmm.. I've done something similar to that in Hawaii... Picked up a huge handful of sand, and all of these black sand crabs come rushing out of it and up my arms. Holy eff! I screamed like a little girl. (no offense, ladies) Later, though, I piled a bunch of them under my friend's covers...

*laughs evilly*

I had a black eye for two weeks, but ahhh, the memories....

So I guess, I am afraid of crabs... and homo sapians...

Birds.. I hate when they fly over my head. I literally duck and try to run away from them.

erm... well.... sheep, cows, horses, pigs (any farm animal) birds, spiders, any insects basically any animal.

Humans are the scariest species.

I agree about the possum thing. I hate to admit this, but when I was a kid I always thought possums were small like guinea pigs. When I was 16 or 17 I was riding around with my friend. This huge animal came crawling out of a ditch as we passed it and I practically jumped in my friends lap freaking out. I had no idea what it was. She told me it was a possum and I didn't believe her. I made her go back so I could get a good look at it and then I looked it up the next day. Sure enough possums are huge!

Where I live there are possums, skunks, raccoons, coyotes, snakes, lizards, squirrels, all kinds of birds, rodents and an occasional deer. The only ones I fear are the skunks because of the obvious hazard they present.

me too! i hate birds!! the misserable shit always crap or have a near miss when your sitting around at school and the pigeons at school are so inbred ew!!

o my I looooooove all animals (even spiders yes) but I like some better than others. the onnly thing i HATE and am scared of is a CENTIPEDE!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA one bit me wen i was sleeping on the ground wen i was three in ewa beach. (hawaii) it was SCARY!!!!!!!! AAAAA (I volunteer at the zoo u c) ooooh i also hate BOX JELLYFISH AND PORTUGESE MAN-OF-WAR!!!! I was stung by both. not at once though. yea thats all. im totally cool with all the other animals.

i love alllll animals.... my favourite animal is the shark and tiger! weird huh!! i just cant stand cockroaches!! yuuuuuk!!! too hell wid them all!!

I have to say... my animal phobia is Texas.

And yes, it is an animal in my mind.

Other than that, probably Shih Tzu's. One pooped on our lawn when I was five, and the owner called me a brat. I was "turned-off." But then I found out that the lady had died in her house, and her Shih Tzu dog ate her rotting cadaver. Sounds deliciously savage, huh? Well, that stopped me from ever liking those dogs again.

Ive hated spiders ever since one chased me around the kitchen. EEEEK.

I am now officially afraid of red-winged black birds. Holy eff... I had like three of 'em just dive bomb my head. Not even kidding! I was just walking along, minding my own business, when all of a sudden WHAM! One of the little effers slams right into the side of my head. I have a gash on my head now...

I also hate wetas, once I was lying in bed and felt something poking my face so I opened my eyes, and theres an outline of a black thing on my white pillow, RIGHT next to my face. Eeeewwww.

I dont no why but I really freak out when Im near a snail, slug or other slimy insect. Fine with spiders though

I'm afraid of people... I am deadly serious here... like realllllly scared of them. Is there a name for that? Children are the worst though, infantiphobia maybe?
