try and initiate the conversation, once you're used to eachother you'll have no problem talking at all. if he's shy he's probably waiting for you to say something, like you're probably waiting for him to say something. ive been there and if you keep quiet it gets quite silly and pointless.

firstly congrats thats v sweet :-) secondly, i think shy is good. Me and my boyfriend were both shy, and at first we were too shy to hug one another and everything, but as time progressed so did we. We spent days together watching films, talking on the phone and online and eventually we opened up. Now we're 100% relaxed around one another, we're one of those couples that don't have to "act", and we're really open about everything. We did start out v shy, but we kept making conversation and yeh..we're the longest couple surviving all our mates know (if that makes sense). Don't give up, just make conversation and dont worry about "looking uncool" cos chances are, thats the reason they're not speaking, although they want to. They're scared they'll say the wrong thing.
