Take a reflective look at your life. What are your passions? What gets you so excited, or so depressed, or just really moves you to the point of having something you've just got to express? What do you find your thoughts lingering on, or returning to? As people who don't know you personally, we'll never know to which topics you can and cannot relate. Only your own life and personal experiences can tell you this.

what libby and and aria, said. but just look what is locked up inside you and more out the emtions. thats why mine are all sad or dark. cuz i lock up those feelings so no one can see them and then they end up on a page and perfect and ready to go.

what katome said is true. using your feelings for your poetry does 2 things: it turns out great poems that you can relate to and be proud of AND it helps get the mixed-up or cooped-up feelings out in the open and makes them easier to understand. ciao

Write about what you are currently feeling, happines, sadness, love, nothing. It doesn't have to rhyme personI don' know, just write randomwords into your head.
    E.g. Yellow banana sausage roll.
    Get what I mean?

Write about not having something to write, and the contradiction of writing that you don't have anything to write about while you are in fact writing about something...which is nothing. I think that would be interesting to read.

All I can say is don't try to force it. It'll come out wrong. Just be patient and the words will come. Good Luck.

I dunno what you like writing about, but I like a good violence poem, Blood guts death, alot of mine are about the grim reaper, vampires, werewolves, I'm thinking about writing about some kind of horrific accident that, I wanted to do one about Ramstein airbase but yea, the band Rammstein (named after the airbase) already wrote a song about that and that is counterfeit (because the summed it all up... good song though... "Rammstein... ein mensch brennt...")
