How can you ?

How can you possibly explain to the one you love, you lied to them so they wouldn't hurt? How could you explain to them that the past is the past and what you want is the future with them? I lied and I'm so sorry I did. How do I fix this? Please help.

Depends on what the "Lie" was about. If it was something extremely serious and your relationship would depend on their reaction, there's probably nothing you can do about salvaging it. Also, it depends on when it happened. If it was recent, you'll have more of a problem if it wasn't. Good luck, I wish you well, but my advice is not to lie in the first place. Then you wouldn't be in this situation.
