Yea It Is nice to see what others think... but how can u if they dont leave a comment? because 1. u dont know who gave u the vote and 2. u dont know who actually gave u a 1! But i dont write poems for the votes... i write it coz it helps me!
    But I really appreciate comments!

ohmigod if i see one more post about people complaining how the amount of comments they get im going to scream. yet again, good point JPM.

this is the 2nd time im saying this- if you want to get comments on your poems, then when you write a new poem go through and read other peoples' new poems. Comment and rate on their poems and im SURE they will return the favor.

I'm getting a few uncommented 1's and 2's creeping in. I see it as a sign of affection from the dolts who know no better.

See, they get all pissy and think they need to impact you in way that feels anonymous because they only ever have the moral low ground either in a debate or just on an intellectual level.

When you get a 1 or a 2 treat it as a 5. You have had the impact on a person on a conscious level that they actually want to view your work. Then they read it, see how much better it is than their own and feel jealousy so vote poorly without the courage to back that vote up. (The 2's are from the buffoons who think it's subtly clever as they degrade your tally without giving a 1.)

    A 1 from a lowbrow Neanderthal is worth a 5 from a real poet.

    Hope this helps.

Yea i will help. Alright when you sign on and the screen says you have loggen on succelsfully or somethin like that on the right hand side of your screen there will be a colum of things. In that column it says submit poem. Click that. It will then give you a screen to type it on. Select the type of poem and put in a title. Then type. When you done b4 you send it select you whole poem because sometimes the thing dosen't let you submit it then you have lost the poem. also do a spell check there is a button for the that. if there is too many misspelled words the site won't let you submit the poem. well hope that helps. See Ya!

Poetry is not trivial. It may be for the world, but not for a person. Votes are a part of poetry that should never be taken account for. People can give 5's for no reason at all. Comments of praise like "good work" are usually also pretty pointless. It just could mean that a person didn't understand the poem, or doesn't want to me 'mean'. Critisizm and indepth responces are the things that should boost someone's 'moral' and make them feel proud of their work.
Well, that's just my opinion. Nearly every poem I post recieves a one, but I focus on the comments I get. The good and the bad, the people who are brutally honest are those who comment. The voters are just usually people who don't have enough to say to comment. Or comment and vote.
But Ashley, I semi agree with the point you made.
