What is Florida like????

I'm getting ready to go to Florida.. I'm a bit nervous... what's it like???

Don't go to Fort Lauderdale. It's rubbish. I went there when I was 33 and I felt like I was going to get ID'd everywhere. I swear no one was under 55.

My folks have a holiday villa in Kissimmee, which is quite near Disneyland if that's your idea of a fun holiday. If anyone wants to know more, send me a message and I'll send you the details.

Miami, South Beach. Was pretty cool when I went there. Though I hear since the hurricane, mold is still rampant.

North Florida...much like Alabama or South Georgia. most fun if you know people who live there who know how to make it fun.

Orlando and surrounding areas can get expensive and tourist-y, but also pretty fun. if you can afford it.

the rest, like Ed said, no one under 55.

the heat is tiresome, but that's another reason I like Miami, because most of the action happens at night, and the heat isn't so bad.

Don't get me wrong, I quite liked feeling young for once. Normally I only feel young when visiting elderly relatives in hospital. But this is more of a product of my massice post-smoking weight increase rather than my rather meagre physical age. ;-)

FLORIDA IS GREAT. I've been living here all my life and I wouldnt want to live any where esle.

omg...i love florida! you get use to the hurricanes...if your coming from the north it'll take a while to get use to the heat but come on...imagine beaches almost year round...nice sunny weather...um...DISNEY WORLD! gotta love it!
