HELP ME PLZ!!!

me and my ex have gotten so close and he told me he loves me but is not sure if he wants to go back out with me... and he doesnt know how long it will take him to know if he wants to or not... i told him that i loved him too... and that he can take all the time in the world becuz im not going anywhere... but he had to keep me updated on how he's feeling... then about 2 weeks went by and now hes not talking to me and hes telling my best friend that he doesnt know if he even likes me anymore even tho he wanted to ask me out just a few days go... i dont know what to do.. i love him and want to be with him but i dont know how to tell him that and for him to want to be with me.. someone plz help me.. hes the only one who can just look at me and make me smile hes the only one i ever want to be with. plz help i dont want to lose him... i just wish i new what he was thinking... have any ideas and advice for me?

I think you gave him way too much latitude when you said he could take all the time in the world.
