Sorry to hear that. They will be going through their grieving process, but you should call and tell them how sorry you are to hear the news. Then again you could write a short letter.

sorry about your friend. I don't think there is much at this time you can do except let them grieve, and remember you will have to take care of yourself at this time aswell.

i feel your pain. my friend died on the 28 and i felt the same way...there isn't much possible to do, just let them know your there to talk to.
