Anyoen homeschooled?

I am, ever since a Chilean school forced vaccination on me, which my parents are strongly against.

Anyone else?

I think it's a very lonely form of education, but at least you have less interruption and you don't have to study such long hours.

Sorry to depart from the topic here, but why would your parents be opposed to vaccination? This is the only means by which some of the worst disease epidemics of the past, such as smallpox and polio, have been eliminated. For anyone truly concerned about public health risks or the health of the individuals concerned, this sounds 'strange', just to put it mildly.

Frankly, I think everyone should also be vaccinated against Hepatitis A & B in addition to the other standard vaccinations. And innoculations against HIV and HCV should also be included when they eventually become available.

I certainly would not want to assume the risk of serious disease afflicting myself or any others for whom I am responsible as a result of failure to vaccinate. And then I would be taking the added risk of exposing and transmitting it to other people. IMO that's just unconscionable. :-(

Well, I can't say that I agree with you, Lydia, on the subject of vaccination. My father has a newspaper that researches the risks of vaccination and some of the reports are chilling.

I guess that we all have differnt opinions.

I've been homeschooled for liiikkeee I think about two years, two and a half. And yea it can get a bit loney, but its also good cuz I'm in the 10nth grade and I might finish this year, 2 years ahead :D. But damn you guys are lucky to have jobs, I wish I had one!!

I'm homeschooled and I rather hate it! I mean I do alot of stuff with the main school... like i'm in the musical, the all class play, chorus, year book, tennis, and b-ball. My mom refused to let me be educated by the main school.... so I try to envolve myself in everything AFTER school! Encluding jobs.... so to me... Homeschooling sucks but i found little ways to make it better :)

i was home schoold this year...but i just got kicked out the other day, so im just gonna uit school and get my ged and go on to college. and i hated homeschooling....i personally just plain out hate school!

I'm homeschooled. And i'm glad for the choice my parents made in doing it. I started in 7th grade. And i would b a reck if i had gone to public school. I dont mind it cuz im still a very social person and all my friends go to public school...so in a sense its like i go to . So i like it...sorta.

Is it not dangerous to not take those vacinations? Well being home schooled doesn't mean you will be lonely. You will just have to find other ways to contact other people of your age. Like sports or whatever you like..

this year i started home school..i was scared to come to school....and i had alot of friend problems....long story..but yeah i think that it is very lonley and boring...but make alot of friends around this small town of homer, alaska....so it works out.....
