Whats up with him?!?

Okay so here's the situation: Me and this guy used to be real tight and we liked each other but we never went or anything, and then we had a falling out and now he's come back sayin he whats things to be like they were before and I'm confused as to what I want to do.

Heres a relevent excerpt from my Xanga:

He said he wants to go back to the way we were before which is kinda cool but I can sort of predict what will happen. I mean last time, we both liked each other but it wasnt going anywhere. Basically, he likes me, but I'm not sure he wants anything from me. I'm pretty sure he wants me to like him back and stuff but i don't know if I want to get caught up in this again. The way were before was a standstill, if anything we were going backwards. i got this email forward from Abby and she basically mentioned she's gonna have a tea party with him and that just gave me this bad feeling. I mean, do I want to be conncted to him if he's connected to her when all she does it make me feel miserable, make me cry and steal my friends. I mean, she calls my friends, she invites them over.. And it made me think, he's willing to meet up with her yet he dosnt exchange a word with me outside of free txt weekend, i mean, how committed is he? Does he even want this? or does he merely have a crush on me?I mean we can stand still for now but whats the point in the long term? I don't know what I wanna do about it. I guess I wanna know, or get a sign to show, is he really worth it? Cos I do kinda....like him, but I dont wanna get caught up in a situation like last time. He said that it was a joke, him saying tht he saw the girl of hisdreams at the bowlling alley and thats fine but he also said that he only wanted to be friends last time too, So i thought he was a major dick for like stringing me along giving the impression he liked me n stuff. He said he was sorry for stuffing me around. I askd what he wanted from us now, and he said a good friend or more. It dosn't sound too promising... Last time I made a lot of effort, I made it obvious I was interested. Maybe I should just put the ball in his court this time, to see if he really does want me or not because right now I'm not convinced that even he knows or really cares. He needs to get his priorities in order.

What should I do, Is he really interested??
