I've always liked the word languid, but I never really used it much, because I couldn't think of a way in which to use it creatively. Then my attention was brought to the noun form, langour, which I fell in love with.

    1. Lack of physical or mental energy; listlessness. See Synonyms at lethargy.
    2. A dreamy, lazy mood or quality: “It was hot, yet with a sweet languor about it” (Theodore Dreiser).
    3. Oppressive quiet or stillness.

Hey, well I can see that you guys know your vocabulary, and that is actually something I am working on. I have this idea I thought I would share with you guys to see what you think... Well, we have a board for poetry contests and things, but perhaps we could have a 'poetry challenge'. Rather than just using poems you have already written, we could challenge a person to make a fresh poem with certain words in it. Or about a certain word... That way it sort of forces us to learn it's meaning and challenges us to use it properly. I think it could probably enhance some of our writing skills... Any thoughts on that?
