Well, thanks alot Jay. I've spent the last two months trying to convince myself that turning 27 wasn't the end of my youth. You've completely shattered my confidence, whatever shall I do...lol!
Seriously, I live by the philosophy that you're only as old as you feel. By my calculations I'd say I'm about 18. On good day's I'm 13 :)

And herein lies my problem...clearly you Holly are a youthful 27, whereas I have aged terribly :o)

The years, as they say, have not been kind

uh Jay...... I wouldn't say you've aged terribly...... I think you look pretty damn good!!

    27 isn't that old. I don't consider you old untill you're a good bit over 40.

i like 16 with 11 years experience much better than life begins at 30!

very sweet of you. age doesnt really bother me, i just feel it's my duty as i get older to gradually start to complain more and more so that when i'm 60 i'll be a proper grumpy old man :o)

  • hell*was*full*so*im*back

yeah, 27 is not bad. except for when your life and income revolves around sport and you know that you are at, or past your peak and it's all downhill from here :o)

its never down hill unless u fall , dnt tell me uve fallen yet jay ?

  • Jay27

haha no i've not fallen yet. But it's definitely different these days.

I used to make my money because of a so-called natural talent for my sport, and natural pace...these days to achieve the same results I need to rely on just plain training harder and being more determined during matches.

I prefer the old days when it was much easier for me, but I'll hang on for as long as I can :o)

Never used to pay much attention to warming up/ warming down before matches...now if i don't then usually something tears or breaks and I have a month to "warm down".

    enjoy your youth! haha

im gonna enjoy myself being older much more i think. then i dont have to depend on my parents for anything and i'll be on my own having a life.
i dont really have one now.... sad to say. =\
anyways, i thought you always had to warm up brfore playing any sport, i always have amd i was told to by my coach.

enjoy being older! i know i would.

i like being young but i will take being old gracefully aswell im only 13 so i aint planning on falling yet ;)

  • Jay27

put it this way, everyone looks back on their youth...

but if i could go back to being 13, but losing everything i've experienced since then...

or leave things as they are now, 27...there's no way i'd go back.

that's why old people always say "if i knew then what i know now"...youth truly is wasted on the young but growing old aint so bad ;o)

Nope, growing old ain't so bad Jay, take it from me. I am as they say, "over the hill" and pushing 50 soon. I've learned alot in my life and I truly enjoy being older, yes, "if I knew then what I knew now" but ya know what? I wouldn't change a thing. But that's just me.........
