I think love wouldn't be the same without pain (just my opinion) because for example if i got the guy that i wanted just straight away like that and during our relationship experienced no pain...i'd be like..."Maybe its a little too perfect" Because with pain comes happiness and makes us that little bit more grateful if we find it after we've been hurt. |

one of my favourite quotes is spanish ( i think) and it's "Cuando amor no es locura no es amor." it means when love is not madness, it is not love. I think a lot of the time madness is in the form of pain. You cant have love without pain. Even the best love has bits of pain too. Its life. |

Pain is as important to love as darkness is to light. Without it we would not appreciate the happy times as much. Also, holding onto each other through the painful moments, makes love grow stronger. |

good question, i was asking myself kind of the same question. Bob you answered it so well, it brang e so much comfort knowing the pain i go through no matter how much i love my fiance is normal and you are right....now that the pain is gone it feels so freaking good to have happiness!!! and it wouldnt feel this good if i didnt have pain so i agree |

love without pain just isnt normal. pain is what makes love stronger and pain can prove many things you would have never known before. its just... love and pain go hand in hand, but when you find the right person, you love them enough for the pain to be worth it. you just have to make sure you're enduring all the pain for someone who's worth it. |

I dont really think love causes the pain so much as we cause the pain ourselves. If we don't let it hurt us, it wont. I, personnally think that pain is important in anyone's life, take that old cliche as an example, you can't know happiness until you've felt pain. |
