Well, I write both songs and poems. As of right now, I have had the beginning of a song (one verse and the chorus) Called Torn Lucky, but I don't know where else to go with it. I was thinking of posting it on my list of poems and asking for some ideas and some help; however I have seen so many plagurizers --sorry I have no idea how to spell that -- around this site, and I think that if I were to do that, someone would take what I have, and add more. That way they could call it their own. Would they be able to call it their own if that were to happen? If so, how do I get some help with this - I've been working on it for so long and I'm just out of ideas! |

I think your right about someone making it there own. However if someone gives you an idea, its partaly there poem to right? to eighter way your sunk there. All you can do is wait out your block. Just keep writing stuff until it fits. You can work on something all morning, and only add a comma. and then in the afternoon you can take it away. thats the beuty of writing your own stuff, you can always add to it, and taer it apart. |

Well, I think it's true that plagiarism is problem in the literary profession, what you are talking about is not plagiarism. Not yet, anyway. All you are showing right now is an idea, and you can't copyright ideas. Only the 'expression of the them.' Unfortunately. |

Thanks guys. I think I'm just gonna keep it to myself until I figure it out. It's the weirdest kind of writers block I've ever had. I have so many ideas in my head that they're just mixing into eachother and I can't set them straight..Thus I can't think of anything to write. Does that make sense? lol actually this happens alot, which is why sometimes I can write 6 poems in a day...Anyway, that just means that I shall figure this out soon enough and I'll post it when I do :P . Thanks again. happy Holidays to everyone. :) |
