First off let me say, I'm very sorry for your loss. I have three siblings and I couldn't imagine living without any of them.
Now, I'd say the hardest thing to write about is losing a loved one. I lost a close family friend back in March and although I've written a few poems about her, it was the most challenging thing to do. I put alot of stress upon myself to get a poem written before her memorial service and it just gave me writer's block. Once I did away with the deadline, it was much easier to write.
So my best advice is don't stress about getting a poem written. Just take your time and sort through your feelings, it will come to you.
    Take care~Holly

you say you want to say something that sounds good, and I think it is amazing that you do so.
instead of only sad, you want something good.
Now, my suggestions may fall into the water, for I didn't know your brother.
But if you start the poem off, with all the things you loved about him.. and then for instanse do the last couple of lines about how you miss him. It would make an impact, and it would be good.
And most of all, you have done something in his honor, for a poem is never lost.
