What do you look for in Poetry?

For instance, do look for rhyme, or flow? Or maybe you like love poems or perhaps sad poems?

I'm just curious. Personally, I like poems that are written like letters. I don't know why those always get to me. (:

I enjoy reading different types of poems. While reading them, however, I look for a hidden message, if ever there happens to be one. The wording and rhythm of the poem also captures my attention, but rhyming is optional. Inspirational poems are also motivating.

originality is good, something that keeps me wanting to read instead of boring me.

Depth, originality, flow, intellectual points proven, emotion, development, if the writer is trying to prove one topic or if the poem is skewed, whats between the lines, if it is real or fictitious, vocabulary,

    lots of things...
