I was asleep
laying on the couch
moonlight hit my face
the spot where you touch

you whisper in my ear
Wake up my Love
you kiss my cheek
and tilt my face up

i look into your eyes
then look at the clock
1:15 AM
what could you want?

you wrap your arms
tight around my waist
whisper I love you
i can feel your strong embrace

i hide my face
into your chest
i stroke your cheek
then i fall asleep

we wake like this
many hours later
I love you too
you say you'd better

i kiss your lips
i squeeze you tight
I do i say
I know this is Right

you kiss my head
and lay me back down
you stroke my hair
We're both asleep now

...

i wake up happy
Can't wait to see you
then i see you Aren't here
and i lay my head back down

here i am happy
because someday soon
my dream will come true
and I'll wake up next to you

until then i can wait
and deal with these dreams
in them we are together always
which is how it should be
