What would you have done?

The same thing I do everyday. Take my eleven year old son who has a mental illness himself and raise him knowing that God made him that way for a reason and that it is ok to be different.

Then with each chance I get I educate others on mental illness and try to get them to understand that it is not contagious.

Then I thank God everyday for blessing me a child that knows how to love better than most adults and who understands that God has a special plan just for him.

i have two disabled sisters, i hve seen how some scorn them for being differnt, and i've seen the look on their faces as things we take for granted bring them so much joy. thanks for sharing that story with us, i will make sure all my friends read it. i belive it will touch them as much as it has me.

This subject touches me deeply....I have a sister that's very slow. In my younger years she was picked on by a lot of jerks that I stood up to. But when I got through with them they shout their flabber box and learnt they better leave her alone. It wasn't by fighting just things I told them and I meant. How some can be so cruel I'll never know. When these are the most precious gifts and the most beautiful hearts that you'll ever see. If you'll look beyond their disability you can see the most beautiful people in the world....My sister is a pure Angel....
