they're just trying to sound smart Sunny! really everything can be bad for you if you have to much... i say just balance it out. you only live once, why not eat what you want or drink what you want it's your own body. people are going all health crazy lately so he prolly just wanted to get his 2 cents in. people like to freak other people out.

At the Asian Supermarket in Philly, there's a type of "Vegetarian Soy Sauce" It has more flavour and is vegetarian. What more could a person ask for?

I'm sure they sell it at any Asian stores.

Ask Anthony, he had a taste of it and now he's addicted to it.

As for olive oil, I have never tasted it, so I have no idea how it was taste like. My mother never used olive oil of course. Just soy sauce.

    Oh and question, Sunny.

You use soy sauce on your salads?

A lot of health researchers have admitted to the fact that things change. Just a few years back they changed the entire food pyramid.

Many of them have said most everything is fine in moderation, but to try and stay with as many non processed foods as possible.

Some of them have def. gone overboard though.

The truth is that we're always finding new things that cause cancer, new things that cure us and then cause other problems, etc. In 20 years we'll find out things that are totally contrary than what we think now, everything's a risk.

Actually, the health professional is completely right!

Olive oil is really good for your health and I don't just use it for salads but for cooking also.

But as always, everything taken in moderation. So Sunny, slow down on your Teriyaki Chicken! I know how much you love it.

There is low sodium soya sauce available also.

I actually have no idea. I read the thing on my soy sauce bottle and that's what it said.

It -does- have more flavour then those other soy sauce so I thought that was the difference.

Sunny if you are using a lot of soy sauce, you really should switch to the low sodium kind.
My mother uses olive oil to cook everything, so I guess I am just used to it, as I cook with it too. I like it & the kids don't know any different so they just eat it.
    :)
Also Congrats on stopping smoking :) :)
That's the next thing on my list is stopping smoking.
I think I will wait until my nerves calm down a bit first.

To be honest, and I hate sying this since I am going into the medical profession, but alot of the doctors out there have no idea what they are talking about.

Everyday something new is "discovered" when the truth is that there is nothing there to "discover".

One or two glasses of wine a night is suppose to be good for you, but one or two glasses of wine everynight can contribute greatly to one becoming an alcoholic and dying from liver or kidney failer.

Sadly, there is no concrete "diet" that can be followed without something being wrong. Grapefruits are suppose to be extremely healthy to eat, but on the other hand they are extremely hard on a persons kidneys and eating one to often can lead to severe problems...

Enough jabbering... I think that some physicians go way overboard and some do nothing, but then there are the few that have their crap together and know what they are talking about. It is up to us to find a physician that we can trust and believe.
