I lead a club, and although there is nothing at all wrong with our discussions as of yet, so dont get me wrong about this, but wouldn't it be good if the leaders can delete a topic or edit a post if a member says something they shouldnt?

I thought the Club Manager could do that?

only if that club manager happens to be a moderator. (Any mod that is a club member could delete/edit threads even if they aren't the manager)

Hi, Iam an assistant for my club, and their is one person how is not following the rules, the club manager is not here right now, but I thought it might be a good Idea if the club assistants can delate threads and posts only in the club forum.

Yeah well not even the managers can do that, let alone the assistants Joe, only normal moderators can which could be a big problem because moderators aren't in all the clubs and the club managers should be able to control their club topics which at the moment if someone says something, they can't do a thing about it right away, they have to muck around trying to find a moderator to join their club and fix the issue.

if it's bad enough, you can always "exclude" the trouble maker. I know that doesn't get rid of the content, though.

But I do agree that at least the manager should be able to edit/lock/delete posts in their club. I'm wondering if it's not possible for Janis to enable "club only mod rights" without enabling mod rights on the whole site. That might be why he's hesitating.

That would be nice as it woiuld give the individual club managers a bit of control.

Yes Ann Marie, thats what i figured the problem is. However i do ask and would be greatful if this could be brought to someones attention, but i do fear the amount of programming that would be needed :S

We are lucky since Bob is our group president, but I do think that the president's should have the ability to lock certain threads and ban certain people from their club within reason.

With that said I do not feel like they should be able to lock threads or ban people just because, but there are some people (not in our club) that abuse everything and get very volgur if not down right mean. I think the presidents of clubs should have the authority to ban these people from their club only and let the mods decide about the site.

Definatly, i do not plan to be a mod on the whole site even though i think that would be cool lol. The main of the boards are up to the actual mods but I think it would really be useful to edit a post if someone swears or lock something if its getting unacceptable etc.
