I feel like I've lost mine as well. Like Bob said, don't try to force words on paper. The topic will come to you.

what evryone said is so true. i usually get my inspiration from things i experience in life. its a way of figuring out mixed up emotions so they make sense to you. good luck.

Aria, that was a very poetic way of putting it. Well said, just go with the flow and your inspiration will be back in no time.

I've lost my inspiration plenty of times. When it happens, I go off and hide away in a new location. Usually that works for new, relaxing in a new place that I either have never been, or haven't been to in a while. Then again, sometimes my friends are my inspiration, but my bestest friend was taken away from me so I guess you could say I lost my main inspiration. My little Kit inspired me so much, and then her parents had to get all "must send her away" pff. I hate her parents. It took awhile for me to even begin to write/draw/play music again.

Usually what I do, listen to music or plan what you think about writing first.
I usually run my fingers across my keyboard and somehow words come up so try it! It's not very good advice but better than nothing! Eh!

I'm having that same problem now too. What I'm trying to do is get a new inspiration to write about but then I realized the poems would change and I really like how I write because It's who I am. I used to write based on people I knew who are dead and now I just can't find that same feeling when I want to write it's like everything I was is gone. It will come back I guess. I guess people who lost theirs just need to wait and try to write with that same inspiration. Trying to look for it in a sense you know. -_-*

Like many other including yourself, I have the same problem. It comes and goes day by day. Try writing something totally different from what you would usually write. Maybe that will work. Other than that it just has to come back naturally.

    Take care. *> : PainOfOne - blaine

ive definatly lost my inspiration at times, some periods longer than other but i find that poetry is something that cannot be forced. in time u will eventually revive your passion for poetry but until then, keep doing small things that can inspire you like watching powerful movies, listening to good music and also reading other poeopls poetry. dont panic if you think you've lost it..give yourself some time! perhaps write about the difficult time you are having finding some modivation?..hope u helped!:) goodluck !!

well... when you lose your inspiration.. it's bound to come back... and honestly.. you cant exactly lose inspiration because well... it's impossible!! when your dealing with life.. that can inspire you to write.. and the only way i think your inspiration can disappear is if your dead.

I agree with monica, inspiration is life, and you can only loose that if your dead.
