WAR OF THE GODS

Benediction
Pain infliction
Utter your last prayer
Gather what you have left
Soon you’ll have naught to spare

Malignant liars
Holy friars
Hold your poisoned tongue
Desecrate all but your god
Witches burnt and hung

Retrograde
No debts paid
We’ve sinned beyond repair
Blinded by undying love
For a power that’s not there

Empathy
Try and see
Its conflict I concede
Religious battle kills us all
We’ve planted hates worst seed

Does length matter? (The poem I want to submit is kinda long...but a lot of my lines are short. Does that make sense?)

halo of black roses

Blackened petals descend
From somewhere up above
You see this is the end
Of all her desired love

As roses form upon her pillows
She rests in a quiet slumber
He ran a path straight to the gallows
And now her love stays lost forever

Hands slipped into white silk gloves
Beside her they lay, motionless
Peaceful as the ascend of a doves
Eyes closed, showing signs of calmness

She is unafraid of her fates
For she knows what is to come
And for this time she awaits
As others wonder oh so cumbersome

She takes her last breathe
As the poison kicks in abruptly
A quiet, peacefull death
Her broken soul rises coolly

Black roses, her flower of choice
To place around her angelic head
Content, for once she had a choice
To take her life in her own bed

"Hope"

Why won`t they accept
The fact that I`m not she
The little girl
I used to be

That shy young girl
With a voice so small
Never said a word
But her smile said it all

That stayed so tough
She never cried
When things got rough

Who belongs to my past

They said grew up so fast

As time went by
And life got bad
She felt she lost
The heart she had

She felt all alone
On her pillow she cried
Because apart of her
She felt had died

Soon her emotions
To much to take in
So she painted her wrists
With suicides sin

She almost gave up
Until one founding day
Her angel appeared
And convinced her to stay

He gave her the hope
She needed to find
He gave her the love
So sweet and so kind

I can`t thank him enough
For loving me the way that he does
For being the hope
That nobody else was.

This is a sonnet I wrote yesterday.

The Ghost`s Dreams

Distant echoes of liberty, now lost,
heard `tween the trees that stand ridden with frost.
Spoken by wind, do they stir what is left;
November`s forests, of leaves are bereft.

Beneath the ice of a world, once sublime,
flow the still rivers that transcend even time.
Meandering like a snake ere the kill,
silent and deadly, in the tameless chill.

The Silence whispers of what will unfurl:
Pale Silhouettes at the end of the world.
Towering above the fields of the earth;
Tombstones absolving the dreams of rebirth.

Such are the dreams that I sadly name mine,
that darkness shall hold, and ever confine.

reality?

Welcome to my nightmare,
where nothings as it seems,
who knows what is reality,
and what is merely dreams,
shadows in the darkness,
hover out of sight,
who knows what is really there,
in the darkness of the night,
we go though life unknowing,
of things we cannot comprehend,
walk around in innocence,
but when will all this end?
we may wander round forever,
never knowing what is true,
this may be our destiny,
all there is for me and you.

My Last Goodbye

This lonely heart is brutally shattered.
A pressure builds from no blood spattered.
My chest aching,
I can't stand the pain.
I gave you my love, and with you it remains.

A bitter storm rages deep inside.
Hot acid rain are the tears that I cry.
My eyes are burning,
I've cried far too long.
You've left me feeling, like I can't go on.

All of my trust, bestowed upon you.
Those three words, this fool believed true.
Entrapped within,
Is my heart and soul.
I know you don't love me, but all of me you hold.

I can't bear any longer to hear your name.
I hate that I still love you the same.
Memory hurts,
I need to forget.
I'd never have fallen, if we hadn't met.

Shredded are the pictures of you that I had.
As I hold every piece in the palms of my hands.
Blow one last kiss,
Moan one last cry.
I guess this is it... My last goodbye.

Taste of Blood

The ticking in your eyes calls your bluff,
Feel free to die when you have had enough.
Easy problems are breaking your back,
Your life will be over when you attack.

Make your move
Make a stand
Make your win.
Ha Ha, like you can.

See this war,
See this rule,
See that mirror,
You'll see you're a fool.

To take me out you must act like a man,
You still have to prove that you can.
I see your might it compares to something.
That is only if something equals nothing.

Time to figure,
Time to sin,
Time to let ,
The blood spilling begin.

Live for your suffer,
Live for my revenge,
Know that your life,
Now comes to an end.

Taste your own blood,
Taste your own fate,
Swallow your damn pride,
With your damn hate.

Your last breath,

Knees in the blood,
with your crying hopes,
Wade in your sorrow,
Bathe in your fear,
Clear your mind,
You don't belong here.

Witness the moment of your failures succession.

Masquerade

He speaks, his words sting
Like burning coals,
His voice rattles my security
And scares my soul.
Even though he's tall, when
He speaks, he grows
And I'm paralyzed; I can neither
Stay or go.

"Weaken
When I command.
Perform
My every demand.
I rule
Because I can.
Your demise
Is my plan."

I can't give up
Another life
To the monster who
Now holds the knife
That soon will plunge
Into my back
For this kind of death, he has
A certain knack.

And I yell out,
"I won't obey!"
The Might thunders back,
"That's okay!"
He knows I've yet to live
Through today.
For him, my extermination
Is child's play.

He cackles like a witch
On Halloween,
But behind his mask, not a
Thing can be seen.
It stands to remind, things
Aren't what they seem,
And I pray to wake
From this dream.

And I watch
In disbelief
As he reveals
What is beneath
The surface
We stand upon
In horror I realize
I was wrong.

"You weakened when I told,
You found out you weren't so bold.
I ruled that you must die,
I gladly watched as you obliged."

Murder in a warehouse
by Tara Kay

A girl was walking home alone,
as a tall man walked by.
Her legs turned to stone,
she was scared but didn't know why.

He put his hand over her mouth,
and dragged her along.
As he headed south,
he hummed a merry song.

He took her to a warehouse,
and slammed the door shut.
He walked around her silently as a mouse,
then punched her in the gut.

She was too terrified to fight back,
her body shaking with fright.
He turned round to attack,
His fists clenched tight.

He hit her again,
she wanted to shout.
Her body hurt with pain.
What was this about?

He bound her up with rope,
as she began to cry.
She couldn't feel no hope,
he was going to let her die.

He punched and kicked her,
then she began to bleed.
This became a murder as he did the final deed.

He turned and smiled at her,
then shot her in the head,
all she saw was ablur,
and sadly she was dead.

Silent one

is it the darkness you wish to seek?

no I've been there, saw it all
i have a voice it lies where darkness falls

It gnaws at you from inside
And never lets you go
But what it is that makes you cry
Only you can know

It started at a sleep over
As innocent as can be
You talked about hair and boys
You could relax, just be care free

Until you were on your own
As the others asleep they fell
Exept for one other girl
Who you didn't know very well

Naturally you both started talking
As any two girls would do
The problem came soon after
When she stared to confide in you

She started to talk about her dad
Who sometimes beat her black and blue
But worst of all, on Friday nights
In her room he did other things too

She showed you all the scars
That covered her legs, and ran up her arms
And told you her dad cut her
When he got back from his pub. 'The Irish Charm'

And though you tried hard not to listen
You were as scared as if on death row
You listened in horrid fascination
To things you shouldn't have to know

She made you promise not to tell
She said if you did she'd die
And that's why every Friday night
You always start to cry

It gnaws at you from inside
And never lets you go
But what it is that makes you cry
Only you can know

Tears

I saw some tears running down my face
They seemed unstoppable because of their grace
The whole day I wanted them to detain
Because I tried to forget the unbearable pain.

Although you have left such a deep med
I couldn't get you out of my head
Every tear seemed to be a stab in my heart
Don't care I will take it in good part.

Now I still can't stop crying at night
I think I will never win this fight
But now my tears are no longer the same
Every tear's the result of surmounted pain

I lost her

The phone rang late one night,
I couldn't believe my ears.
They said my love was hit by a car,
And I exploded into tears.

They rushed her to the hospital,
That's where I seen her.
I wanted to take her pain away,
I wanted to be the cure.

They said she wasn't conscious,
But I knew she heard me.
I told her everything would be okay,
As I prayed upon my knees.

I sat beside her for two days,
Waiting for her to open her eyes
So we could talk one more time,
And she could watch the sun rise.

The doctor came and said it's time,
They said sorry but it's true.
Its time to pull the plug on her,
It was the only thing to do.

So I said please let me,
It's the least that I could do.
Baby rest in peace I'll be there soon,
And don't ever forget that I'll always love you.
