plagiarism, unfairly accused!

now, before you immediately go against me, hear me out.

today i recieved an email from janis saying that my poem was plagiarised, and that it has been deleted from the site.

i sent her an email reply requesting to know why i was accused of this, and have not recieved a reply yet, (im not expecting same day reply tho anywho, im sure they're pretty busy) but i decided to look and see if anyone else has it posted. anywhere else.

first off i come across

which is another place i have it posted, and its under my name, soo.. nope, wasnt from anyone on that site.

after checking through about 15 sites i knew of, i then did a google search for some key points in the poem, and i found it near the bottom of the page on

but at the top of that site it says "these are poems that we FOUND and decided to share with you" and they didn not properly give credit to the original authors, no name after it. contacted them and they said it was found off of THIS SITE under the name of CHRIS ENGLE. bingo, score 1 for me.

then i searched a little further and i found this

this one looks rather threatening.. been there a while, under someone elses name, on a site that registers usernames so that credit is properly given, and this guy has quite a few poems there.
then i look at the exact date. july 4th 2005, and all of his poems were submitted on july 4th, if thats saying anything. good news is i am able to prove he stole this from me once again. my copy of ''forever and always'' was posted here on poems-and-quotes.com as of july 7th, 2004, almost 1 full year before this guy posted his poems on that other site. hmm, soo far ive licked all competition. lets try some more sites.

now at this point im 6 pages in on the google search, and finding no results even close to my poem, and we have run out of places that could have possibly claimed this poem as their own with any sort of proof.

i also have the text file on my old computer that i wrote this one, shows a ''file created'' date of far far far earlier than 2004. if needed i can post screenshots of that somewhere, or mail them to janis or whatever.

this is the 2nd time i have been accused of plagiarism, and last time the person accusing me finally admitted to trying to steal my poem, they plagiarised it from me, then tried to claim it as theirs. i dealt with that incident through lovepoemsandquotes.com. i fear the same thing is happening now, and i want this taken care of. i have also emailed a copy of this post to janis at the same address (s)he emailed me from.

im just posting this here incase (s)he checks this before his/her email.

I must say that I am impressed. It appears that you have done an excellent job at keeping some awesome records to prevent an unjust verdict on you.

but i do have a question... how long does it usually take janis to reply? im not trying to complain or anything, all im saying is i wanna get this resolved as soon as possible.

thank you dainz, and i would appreciate it if there is some way for me to find out why i was accused of plagiarism, did someone email janis with so called ''proof'' or something saying its not mine? if so i would like to take care of that aswell.

that really does confuse me, because i dont recall posting it anywhere before year 2000 when i wrote it in my notebook..

maybe he had a poem posted and edited it, that would probably keep the original date with the new contents.. but im not sure.

also no hard feelings Ann, im glad you caught this.. ive been having trouble with plagiarism on this poem for a while... had to fight with a few places to prove it was mine. all in all im hoping to get this straightened out, and thank you for bringing this to my attention!
