I guess its all in what you like. But i honestly enjoy it. If it is just 70 year olds where you've went maybe you should try somewhere else. There's lots of youth programs and things these days.....Oh my gosh, i sound like my mom! sry i'm so corny, but it;s true

the question is what do you expect from it

well i mainly want to give back to God when I go to church. It's not what i expeect from it, it's what he expects from me. I go there to praise him and thank him for everything he does for me and my family.It's the greatest feeling in the world to think that I may have made God smile by doing things to praise him.

but they say that God is everywhere so why can't you thank em for that at home?

You can (and should) thank him everywhere and anywhere. And he is everywhere, but we have church especially for that. It's nice to go somewhere with felllow christians who enjoy worshiping him as much as you do. You don't HAVE to go to church by any means. And you could still worship him at home, but when your at church it's like thats all your focused on him, and you can give him 100 percent of your attention without the phone ringing or one of your parents telling you what to do. You can also learn lots of stuff at church about the bible and how you can always strive to be closer to him. I didnt get it at first. The whole idea of "70 yr. olds talkin about boring things" but now that ive went to church so much and learned more, i saw something in those 70 year olds.........they seemed so happy, and they knew that any second they could fall over dead but they still kept rejoicing. At first I thought they were retards; but then i realized that I wanted what they had. No matter how bad things got for me i wanted to know that i could go to church and be around people that i knew truly cared for me and my well being. Sorry this is so long (any probably boring!)

Im Christian, but..
I feel like I'm falling away from my Christian life.
Sad, yes I know. I don't pray and worship Him as much as I should anymore.
Maybe it's just a little phase I'm going through.

I used to not want to go to church and stuff but now i like it a lot.. i don't know how i changed... yes maybe you're right, it's probably just a phase. Well just never forget that God is with you and is always there when you need him. Good luck.

I just wanted to say church doesn't HAVE to be boring..lol
I am a sunday school teacher and we do a lot of fun stuff with our kids. I have a gameroom in my house & once a month my class comes over and we all have a good time. We also do lots of crafts (not kiddie crafts) I teach 9-13 year olds...lol
We have children's sunday school & adult sunday school at the same time. We also have children's church while the adults are having church.
We do a lot of fun games & energetic praise & worship with the kids. We minister to them with puppets. They all seem to love it. They earn tickets and buy candy & toys with them at the end of each service. I have noticed with my 5 children that adult church just bores the heck out of them, so we decided that they should have their own service.
It works really great for us. We have noticed a lot of families back in church since we have started this, because the kids actually WANT to come to church.

That's a cool idea to have a church service for children! At my church we dont have that, but i love my church! sometime the priest makes a joke of something serious, and it's like you can never forget what he said because it's so funny... but hey that's me, some of my friends don't like church.. it depends on how devoted you are i guess.
