wish denied. but in time you come to see that you dont really dislike your ex that much anyway...infact you feel nothing for them. indifferent. and realise that feeling nothing for them actually feels better than the rush of self righteous indignation followed by the wish of death followed by the satisfaction of hearing them dead followed by the twinge of guilt for feeling satisfied followed by a landslide of guilt and self loathing for being an awful person to cause the death of someone you were once quite fond of..... i think if that wish came true you would not like yourself very much.....
