i've been reading some works and i was wondering, do people actually vote for their own. i see some high votes for some works that maybe don't deserve it,(my opinion, and opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one) so i wonder. by the way i did not vote on my own works.

if you read my works and vote honestly, not because you want automatic high votes, i will read your poems and do the same

As i know, there is only one chance to vote for yourself. I do make use of that chance. Its not just a number..its a chance to rate your poem by yourself. And most of the times i rate myself a 5. Because i feel it deserves one. I believe every poet believes they have written well. Yeah there are a few poems i have rated myself a 4. But that all depends.

And yeah it is possible to go to different computers and keep voting for yourself as a random person! But that will be crazy. There is no competition going on..So no one will be crazy to keep voting for themselves! Yes.. sometimes good poems are not voted as much as as some 'unexpected' poems are rated. But i think you shouldn't care for that. IF you enjoy writing poetry..keep writting.. Votes and comments will follow you by itself.

I will check your poems soon.

well i still won't vote on my own works, and this site is intended for the reading of poetry as well as posting so i will keep reading other poetry as well, therefore forming opinions on what i read. for myself, i don't really care what others think as much as i like sharing my thoughts, so my postings are for everyones enjoyment, not because i am after high mark votes, but in saying that, if you have critique on my works, please share, one can only get better.
