what is love??

i know that you guys have heard of this question many of time.. but you havent heard it from me, right? hehe anyways, yes, what is love?? i wanna know what you poets have to say what it is.. simply because i love the mind of a poet and what they have to say.. thank you (^_-)

Love is many things on many levels. On a biological it's a physiological response to a mate in order to insure reproduction or to attach ones self to there offspring in order to insure there genes survive. On a social levle it is a froce wich draws people together to work towards common goals. On a spirtual level it the sharing of one soul in two bodies. I've always thought of love as the highest point of human enlightenment. That point at wich thehuman ability for compashion and kindness grows to the point where we care about anthore indivdual's happiness and welfar more than our own.

Love- The ability to sacrifice everything for someone without regret.

in a poets veiw, love is the greatest thing of existance. there is no true defination for love even though it is in the dictionery?? love is not a word but a feeling and only when in the greatest part of it can only truely begin to imagine what it is. if wondering if you are in love and question yourself then you obviously arent. the opposite of love is hate whihc must mean the most negaetive word and feeling. moral- be carefll how you use the words

well as some ppl said before, love is an emotion and there are no definitions for emotions and you cant define them, sumfin like that and then someone said that the biggest test of love is to love without testin, well yaaa... I COULD go on but there was a big discussion about it already :D

AAh the ultimate question "WHAT IS LOVE". Well i think no i beilve that love is something that comes from your heart. When 2 people connect emotionaly on a different level. When you feel there pain, or when you wish to reach for a star to give to them to put a smile on there face. Love is pure. Love is also very fragile inwhich you should handle very softly like a butterfly. Otherwise it can easily be broke. When you wake up sick next to your significant other and only want to make them feel better. Love is when you just gaze into somebodys eyes not saying anything but feeling emotions run threw your heart and eyes. No words need to spoken. A soft touch, a small gesture. Love is everything. This is what i think love is anyways.

You cannot describe what love is, love is something that noone is able to describe, it is an emotion so intense that no matter how hard you try and describe it, your description shall never be enough.
