how do i get a copywrite?

alright, i love writing and i also love posting what i write on this site but i recently got accused of stealing someone else's poems (two of them to be exact) and then i found MY poems still on the site under someone else's name. i want to know how to get a copywrite so that doesn't happen again and i'll be able to leave all my stuff on the site. will someone PLEASE help me!!!!! *leah

Hmm I don't know much about this. But I do know that when you write something, it's should automatically be protected by the copywrite law. And as long as you keep records of your writings, and are able to prove something is yours you shouldn't have a problem. But thats basically where my knowledge ends. Although I think you can get an official copywrite for a fee.

I agree with Britt, even if you have a copyright some people will still plagiarize. It's happened to me many times.
