couple rings

ok... i want to buy (basically bought) my boyfriend and me a pair of rings, but im still trying to figure out which finger i should by the rings for... we have already bought a pair of promise rings few months ago but now i want to buy another pair of rings...

oh.. and for a note... i'm 16, and hes 18.. so.. i don't think we'll be getting married anytime soon xD

whats bad about wearing rings on the "ring" finger on your left hand? my boyfriend bought me a ring like last year and i've worn it on that finger ever since...whats the deal?

Left ring finger has a certain symbolism. They say that finger has a direct line to your heart and is thus the "sacred" one reserved only for the most sacred of rings - your wedding rings.

hmm i guess..i wear my ring on that finger...maybe one day it'l be replaced by a wedding ring..hmm..

i just phoned them and told them to help me size mine to right hand (cause last time i tried was left...) but anyways... any one know how to estimate ring size? or.. any guy can tell me their ring size for right ring finger??

my boyfriend is about 6'1 and weighs like.. 180 lbs?? and... all i know is his right middle finger is a size 10 or 11 x.x...

PS- I heard that you can wear rings on left ring finger if its not engagement or wedding, but promise ring?? but if you do, that promise ring symbolizes for 'pre-engagement'.. it just confuses me because you can wear promise or engagement rings on left ring finger, and when you get engaged or married, the new ring will go on your left ring finger, and the other one is moved to your right ring finger??

I'm also curious though if anyone knows what it means to wear a promise ring on left middle finger?? or whats the difference if its on the right??
